the website Miniclip.com, which was launched in 2001 and is known for
having a large and varied collection of games. It is the world's largest
privately owned online gaming website. It was started in 2001 by Robert
Small and Tihan Presbie on a budget of £40,000
and quickly grew.
As of 2008, the company has been valued at over £200
million, having been profitable for six of its seven years, with
turnovers exceeding £20 million in the past two years alone.
As well as publishing exclusive games, the website also provides more
widely known titles such as Tanki Online, Goodgame Empire, Clone Wars Adventures, Club Penguin, Free Realms, RuneScape, Webosaurs, Fragger, 8 Ball Pool Multiplayer, iStunt 2, Plague Inc. and Gravity Guy.
Plague Inc. and Gravity Guy was Miniclip's most downloaded game apps
available on the App Store for iOS and Google Play for Android.
